About The Area

Nambour  is known as "The Hub of the Hinterland" - a busy regional town with easy access to the Sunshine Coast
beaches - Maroochydore, Cotton Tree & Mooloolaba. Also the beautiful town of Buderim, famous for the world renown Buderim Ginger.  Equally convenient to "The Range" towns of Mapleton, Flaxton, Montville Dulong Kureelpa & Maleny. Add the quaint villages of Woombye & Palmwoods to the south & Yandina to the north. Brisbane is only an hours drive south, but also accessable by train.  Maroochydore Airport is just a 15 minute drive away with direct flights to Sydney & Melbourne.

Nambour is often described as "the backbone of the Coast" - no fanfare, a laidback lifestyle, strong community focus & offering many hidden gems to discover within the town & throughout the Hinterland.

The Nambour Civic Centre is a great entertainment venue featuring world class live shows & movies for all ages. Nambour still holds the "Sugar Town" title & still embraces the history that was so long the life blood of the town, a visit to the Nambour Museum (this building was formerly the State School building) is a step back in time to "Sugar Town" and an opportunity to explore the lifestyle of a time past.

The region's hospital is located in Nambour, a facility which has recently undergone major refurbishment & improved
facilities. Nambour is also home to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council & many Government Offices.

Locals & visitors alike are often heard to say they don't know what to do this week/weekend - the choices are so many,
sometimes it's hard to choose. Go north, south, east or west or "stay put" & you are certainly guaranteed to spend a
great day in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast.
